SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY

OXYGN8™ uses TGA and FDA designated class 1 medical device technology based on fundamental principles of Infrared Radiation (IR):

  1. Your body emits heat
  2. Thermo-reactive minerals embedded within OXYGN8™ apparel absorb this heat and convert it to INFARED ENERGY
  3. IR energy is then re-emitted into the deep layers of the muscles aided by the thermo-reactive minerals in the OXYGN8™ fibres sitting close to your skin.
  4. IR energy acts as a vasodilator (widens the blood vessels) which increases local blood flow and elevates oxygen levels in parts of the body.

The thermo-reactive minerals used in every fibre were selected for their thermos-reactive ability to most efficiently convert body heat into infrared energy and emit it back into the body.

Science has shown that infrared energy is a medically proven vasodilator, which means that it promotes circulation, increases tissue oxygenation by at least 8%, enhances cell vitality, improves muscle recovery and reduces long-term pain.

The engine behind OXYGN8™, Celliant®, has been extensively researched, developed and clinically tested for both durability and effectiveness.

Celliant partnered with prominent institutions to have conducted 9 clinical trials to evaluate OXYGN8™ garment performance.  Click here for a summary of these trials

Several of these Celliant trials have also been published in reputable scientific journals. Below are the links to a few of these available for viewing by the public:

Dr. Michael Hamblin, the principal investigator at the Wellman Centre for Photomedicine at Massachusetts General Hospital said ‘Science has shown that infrared energy increases blood flow, improves muscle recovery and reduces long term pain. The FDA determination of these products as medical devices and general wellness products will likely spur interest in infrared technologies and further development of garments and wraps that can positively impact people’s wellbeing.

Your body is a hybrid engine. OXYGN8™ is a catalyst for enhanced performance.
